About Us

The Ambiance Singers is a vibrant and passionate group of women who gather together to celebrate their love of music. Audiences of the choir are treated to a salute to musical genres from Broadway to swing, gospel to R & B, and enjoy feature guest appearances. Such luminaries as JUNO-nominated vocalist Heather Bambrick, Canada’s Sweetheart of Swing Alex Pangman, and renowned trumpeter Guido Basso have performed with the group.

The ensemble is under the leadership of Musical Director, Brigham Phillips, a well-known leader of the accomplished Brigham Phillips Big Band, composer, bandleader, musician and educator. The Ambiance Singers are known for their Mother’s Day event at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga. The Singers also perform regularly at Black Creek Pioneer Village’s Christmas by Candlelight program and at a multitude of private and corporate events.

Founded in the 1980’s as a community choir by Earl Nelham, The Ambiance Singers have enjoyed entertaining the people of Mississauga and the GTA for over 35 years. Today, we’re still excited to sing for all of you all year long! Be sure to join us at our spring charity concert in May each year!
